I was able to set up a 2 pole roof the proportion that I wanted it in, in only 2 tries.

The second try was only so that I can finess the proportions that I was aiming for in that roof.

I added that roof to my Sketch Up drawn project with great ease too.

Really great tool.

It took me only a few minutes to understand how to operate the program from the excellent user manuals, examples and videos included.

A second try, (after manipulating the figures I used the first time around), gave me the exact shape of membrane roof I was aiming for (4 pole tent).

I don't know that I could have drawn this membrane roof using Sketchup alone.

The ony snag I have now is that I got the lines Ok in the dxf file but not the surfaces and hence the membrane roof looks like a stretched net.
